I love cinnamon rolls. I love them so much I can’t make them because I don’t have the will power to resist eating them all.

I’ve had the half formed idea to make a batch in the back of my mind for a while, and today it came to fruition.

I decided to justify it by experimenting with different ways to store unbaked rolls in the freezer and baked rolls as a one serving take-a-long.

And while I was waiting for my dough to rise I decided I would try making a blackberry pineapple frosting using some of the blackberry sage syrup I canned last month. These rolls came out of the oven looking ready to party so I gave them some sprinkles too. ???

The half pint jars easily hold a roll that could be frozen and baked later, I love how the rise out of the jar as they bake, they really make a statement. This would be a great dessert to serve for guests after a fun dinner party. The pint jar works perfectly for taking a baked and frosted roll with you as a decadent dessert for yourself or a friend since you can put a lid on with plenty of room to spare.
