The garden needed a major weeding/clearing out. (I put the ‘after’ picture first ?)The only plants left that went in this spring are the peppers. I love how well the cucumbers grew up their vertical trellis and I plan to grow them that way again next year. I had replaced my purple beans with dragon tongue beans last month, and the dwarf corn is going strong, but now has tassels and will soon be at an end as well. My sunflowers are still standing tall and making me smile though.
The second half of the garden isn’t shown, but it’s just the remains of the glass gem corn and the pumpkin vines. As soon as I can get the pumpkins harvested I’ll be refreshing that part of the garden as well. Time for those fall crops to grow and shine!
