I wasn’t too sure about keeping the pineapple sage plant that I planted in the front garden this year, but I’m pleasantly surprised at how stunning it looks right now. It’s wonderful to see vibrant red flowers in a garden that is beginning to think about its winter sleep. The flowers are edible and have a surprisingly sweet and refreshing taste. I made some apple cider mimosas yesterday and the blooms from the pineapple sage made such a fun garnish.

For the mimosas I used this ratio: 1/4 cider to 3/4 champagne. It was delicious. ?
